Hello there
I'm looking for a 911 sse (turbo look) I've seen one which has had 15 previous owners which has made me feel a bit worried with some service history. Can somebody please advise me what to look out for and should this affect the price
Any help will be useful.
Thanking you in advance. Verdi.

Rust is the main issue with old 911s and unfortunately they can hide it well. Service history is also important for value, particularly proof of what has been carried out in recent years. 9/10 cars you will view are likely to be rust buckets at that age, especially if you are looking at the budget end of the market.

15 owners would put me off. I usually just say it's only a number on the V5 which you throw in the drawer but if the car is 24-25 years old, that's an average ownership period of 1.5 years by each owner.

Hi Verdi, buy on condition and history at this age.

I have one that took me a while to find.

Send me a message if you have any specific questions.

Cheers

Yup, look for rust and bodged repairs. Lots of dogs about and prices are mad now, even for a bad car. Look great, but have you quite realized what you can get in NB form for the same money?

As the others have said , buy on condition , rust removal can get very expensive on these cars , join the impact bumpers forum and have a gander at the bodywork threads , sober reading..
Good luck

Good forum and you'll learn a lot about the pitfalls and good times off owning an impact bumper car. Rust is your biggest headache and bodged repairs. Just make sure you get a thorough pre purchase inspection done.
