Hey Guys

After years of dreaming about getting a Porsche and reading these forums I have got to the point where I can afford and justify a Porsche without selling my soul to the devil.
It was initially going to be a 996 Turbo but I decided to go for the newer 997 model as a standard Carrera 2S.
Looks more modern.

So I have spent the last few months seriously looking at all options and garages and studying the market.

Plenty of garages to choose from but not many that have the right combination of high quality car with high quality warranty and a high level of service and preparation.

Having read the forums , I ended up at RSJ and really there isn't anywhere with as good cars and as good preparation and warranty.
The cars are absolutely stunning condition.
Their proper 1 year warranty is the main attraction to me with these bore scoring issues I keep reading about.
They showed me their inspection report which showed new rear discs and pads needing and a new air con radiator and some coil packs which they will be doing at their cost prior to me picking it up.
Haven't had any garage do that before on any car I have ever bought.
Joel and Darren also very pleasant to deal with, huge passion for Porsche cars.
Highly recommended garage.

Here is what I bought yesterday

Good for you! I've got a black 997s and love it. All you need now is to take delivery and get out there and enjoy it - come sun or rain.

They do prep their cars to a high standard and that one looks lovely. Nice to see a dealer stand by their cars too.

I´m in the same situation, going to test drive my first porsche this weekend smile Looking at a 996 Turbo.

Hopefully, within a few weeks I too can join the club wink

Wish there was a place like RSJ where I live, they sound very good.

Congrats, and enjoy wink

You should enlist the services of a sharp lawyer to argue that the vehicle pictured in picture 8 of the advert constitutes part of the sale agreement.

smile

Enjoy the car(s).

Bought a similar age car from them earlier in the year - the Cobalt C2S which there was a thread on. No issues at all with RSJ - very accommodating - nothing has really come up on the car to go back on with regards warranty, so can't comment - but the car is great and they did everything they said they would - plus friendly and love their cars.

Do they still have the 599 as the 'company car'?

Just make sure you check the condition of the cigarette lighter when you collect the car... ; )

Slightly o/t, but I needed to 'borrow' a couple of pictures from the RSJ web-site recently for a club magazine (TIPEC) article. Spoke with Joel about it and he was happy to release the pictures without any problem. : )

No 599 when I went but there was a stunning Gen 2 Turbo outside

More exciting than that , they have a signed Michael Shumacher helmet displayed in the office.

I've had my Porsche for about 16 months now.. which is the longest I've had any car, and the first time I've not had an eye on what to get next. I can't think of anything better! I think I'll just keep it forever..

The 599 is gone. They had a SLS in there when I picked up my C4S but it was going to be replaced on part-ex with a Ferrari 360. Joel still has his SL AMG though.
As much as your C2S is good, with your budget I would of looked at a top end 996t?
