Danny Dyer films
Discussion
I quite liked Severance
DD has a huge, seemingly loyal following. I remember reading somewhere that one of his latest films was done on such a tight budget, that the director/producer created the film around Danny to ensure his fans would go to see the film, thereby guaranteeing a certain level of financial success. From what I recall it wasn't a well received film, but the guy does have a supportive fan-base that will go an see his films. In fact it may have been Mark Kermode that told that story...

Quite enjoyed Closure (AKA Straightheads) when I watched it the other week, but that may have been down to a hot and topless Gillian Anderson.
Quite enjoyed The Business too
I watched that last week too.

Gillian Andersons nipples were IMMENSE!!!
Oh... and I liked the film too.
Watched Dead Man Running last night too. Maybe its not Dyer; maybe I like films with Tamer Hassan in them instead.

Humman Traffic is good, and I liked The Business - otherwise he's on my 'actors that will make me avoid a film completely list'.
IMHO in the early days he had the potentional to be a decent enough actor and make some decent films, but he's been far too accepting of roles in terrible, terrible films and has let himself become 'Danny Dyer the Charactor' I.E. he only ever plays one role - himself, and not very well.
He's doomed to the Seagal Trap (formally known as the Caine trap) of an endless stream of straght to bargain basement DVD films that not many ever escape.

I heard a rumour he was on holiday with his family at some holiday camp, and they had a talent night for anyone who could do impressions. So without letting on who he was, he went up and did Danny Dyer. He came 3rd!The Business is a great film.
Football Factory is ok for a bit of violence and chavery.
Human Traffic is
especialy that scene.
Other than that he is what it says on the tin, I liked Danny Dyers Deadliest Men and a couple of times he appeared to be quite funny.
He's alright I suppose but then again with a username like mine I would say that

One of the actors where i point blank refuse to watch a film him in, i HATE his 'hardman' cockney image he trys to give of in his films. Gave him a 2nd chance and watched a tv series with him talking to Britians hardest men or something like that, he dressed like a pleb and sounded even worse and credit to him the guy he interviewed was actually fairly scary. however next to Danny they couldnt of been so different and then he appeared scared

10 points awarded for missing his middle name Danny f@ckin dire.
About as hard and scary as a bag of marshmello's.
One of those 'hard' guys you would kick in the nuts if you met him in real life.
(Slightly more scary then Derick the gangsta on Eastenders).
Strangely i quite enjoy his films though.

Sure it was the Now Show that came up with "...featuring Danny Dyer" as being a sign you should probably avoid a film. That said, Severance was alright, in a guilty pleasure sort of way.
This made me chuckle as well :-

Missus was out tonight so I went to Netflix and fancied something 'popcorn' to begin the evening with, so went for 'Dead Man Running'
Titles came up and saw Rio Ferdinand and Ashley Cole in the credits.
Lasted 5 minutes and thought:
Got through 5 minutes and it was great, didn't take itself too seriously, was tongue-in-cheek, funny and a good flick.
Worth a watch.
