My 12 year old Daughter had Spinal Fusion 12 weeks ago for her Scoliosis, and a key part of her getting well again will be cycling and swimming to build her strength up.

So, in the past 12 weeks we have been sat down with eBay, Wiggle, etc and have pulled together all the bits to make a custom bike for her...she made all the colour choices and I chose the oily bits...but is it Pink enough?

The first ride, I have deliberately made the riding position very upright and have kept the saddle low as she struggles to actually get onto the bike, once she has more movement and confidence I will raise the saddle

She Loves it!

Good effort, very well specced too! Though as a responsible parent, you really need to take it for an extensive test ride yourself wink

Hope she enjoys it and is on the road to recovery soon.

Thanks Guys, she loves it, I will just sort some stickers to finish it off

Now my Wife wants me to build her one...and my Son wants me to build him a road bike!

Pink wicker basket on the front, possibly with a plastic butterfly attached to it? biggrin

Seriously though, that's a top thing to do. Best of luck to the both of you.

Thanks all, I showed her the Charge saddle ( I have a Spoon on mine) but she thought the Vevert with the pink stitching looked more comfy..

I will suggest the tassles, basket and Butterfly as upgrades!

Just a great way of getting Wife-sanctioned Cycling toy spend!!

I might have made a few little upgrades to mine and cascaded my parts to hers in the process ;¬)

That's pretty girly, might see if I can add some pink tyres to my bright pink Orange 5!
