Basic Trainer. Which One?

Just looking for a basic trainer for Xmas, up to about £150. Not wanting turbo fans ( too noisy) getting heart rate monitor on my computer. Want variable resistance. Any thoughts please ? Cheers

Tacx Satori, its 180 quid but you might get it on sale somewhere. A solid piece of kit, better than some trainers which cost over twice as much.
Get a trainer mat if noise is an issue, also buy a good fan to keep you from over heating.

+1. I've one myself (£150 from Wiggle 1 day before the pre-winter turbo rush ). Top bit of kit. Assembly is a bit of an arse, thanks to the not-go-great instructions, but that's a minor niggle. You also get a front wheel riser with it, unlike many other turbos wherein it's a mere (read: you have to buy it) accessory.

Decathlon are doing a SAtori trainer I think but not teh same model number as other online stores?

This is everything you need in an entry level trainer and the resistance levels are effective.

It looks like the same box contents as wiggle, evans etc. I'll let you know in a few days - I took the plunge at that price!
