Anyone had chassis work at Carizam Melton Mowbray?

Hi All

I need to have my outriggers replaced and have had a good price from Carizam at Melton Mowbray,
Just checking to see if anyone has used them for any chassis work and what standard of workmenship/service you received ,

I assume you mean Carizma - they as far as I know have a very good reputation for bodywork but I have no direct experience. Might be worth a post on General TVR.

Can't comment on this company but you need to check how they are going to do the job. They need to do a partial body lift as a minimum in order to get proper access. The outriggers can be replaced (cheaply) without lifting the body but there is not enough access to fully weld them. Also if the outriggers have gone there are usually a few other areas that need some attention.

I fully agree with Rob but i believe there are garages that will attempt outrigger replacement using a method similar to my post on this thread.... clicky

I am certainly not implying this is how Carizma do it !
