Free Parking in Hythe

I'm taking my daughter to the Christmas fair in Southampton on Saturday and thought that taking the Hythe ferry would be a more interesting way of getting to Southampton.

Is there any free parking in Hythe that is withing walking distance of the ferry or will I have to use the pay & display car parks?

You should be able to park on one of the residential streets just outside the village centre, maybe near west street.

sadly there is virtually no free car parks left in hythe any more, local council are rabid about changing for car parking. As Rehab said, pick a residential street, you would be safe with that.
