Anybody a fan of 'Chasing classic cars'.

My favourite programme at the moment.In one recent episode he was asked to look at three cars that had been in a storage unit for years.Maserati Bora,Dino,Daytona.All had silly low miles on them.The Daytona looked good when it had been cleaned up.He so much wanted the Dino when it came up for auction but resisted 'auction fever' and backed out.

Yes love Wayne and the pace of the show. I think they are all pretty old now, would love them to recommission.

Wayne is a nice enough guy and some of the cars are delights.

Gooding and RM must love him for the advertising!

Another fan here. Good to see an American car programme where the cars and their stories are the real stars.
Really enjoyed the tale of the 'barn find' Daytona Spyder that his friend had owned in the 70s.

Wayne is a top chap, as a fellow father of an autistic child I`ve swapped some emails with him. He does great work for his local autism charity on the QT. Chasing Classic Cars is a proper warts and all production unlike some other programmes we could mention.

He can also laugh at himself.
He was asking a truck driver to load a car but ended up doing it himself.I remember him sayin something like.......'people say I am a control freak but I just dont see it myself'.Just how he said it,you knew he was having a chuckle.
Roger the mechanic is a star as well.

I'd quite like it if it ever showed any restoration other than a quick wipe over with a wet cloth and some pretty amateur looking engine work, or if he looked like he had a clue at an auction occasionally.

Its currently one of my favourite programmes at the moment, wayne is a top bloke and comes across very down to earth

I haven't seen that episode. I have seen quite a few and never seen any full restorations, just his mechanic 'rebuilding carburettors'. I'm sure he is doing something right. I'm not impressed by his 'net worth' I was talking about the TV programme. Does the fact that he is rich mean that I have to love it? Not really relevant, then.

I don't think it's really supposed to about the actual restorations though. It's 'Chasing Classic Cars' not 'Restoring Classic Cars'.

But I do agree that such a show would be interesting. A hybrid of this with Mark Evans would be great.

I don't think it's really supposed to about the actual restorations though. It's 'Chasing Classic Cars' not 'Restoring Classic Cars'.

It's CHASING, not auctioning...which do they do most of.

I don't mind it, but it's not a favourite by any means.

Fair point. I agree, they could spend less time at the auctions.
