My 2.5's been running badly for some time now and I've proved it's not the ECU. Plugs look fine, so I'm just wondering whether the leads or coil may be failing. I can't actually remember replacing any of them over the last 6 years so probably worth doing as a matter of course. Any ideas which make and model of coil/leads I should look for? The car remains standard except for a remap which now produces around 350bhp.

The coil is std ford and the part number will be on it.

I found some really good leads on eBay. Better than magna core. Just make sure you get gen 2 I think in the leads as they do two types of clip for the coil.

Thanks Martin, Magnacore rings a bell, so perhaps I did replace the leads some time back. Still, if it was long enough for me to forget, they could be at fault!

I changed mine from magna core as one of them gave up after about 5yrs so could be that still.
