New job required, ideas needed.
Discussion
As title really, I need a new main job while at college.
Currently a 1-1 carer but I need a change as the hound adult I work with attitude to me has changed.
Won't go to detail but when you know someone doesn't like you, it's time to move on.
My job description has changed massively but my wages haven't.
However, the main problems are.
I need the job to fit round my college days of Monday, Thursday and Friday. These days won't change for blocks 2 as 3 so are set till I finish next June.
I need guaranteed hours every week as I've bills etc to cover.
I currently do 25 hours a week. Tuesday and Wednesday with an alternating Monday/Thursday evening shift.
My 2nd carer job can only give shifts on a Saturday so that's not an option to go with.
However, through them. I'm registered with SSSC and have a PVG certificate, have autism and epilepsy training and about to do food hygiene courses. I have had first aid training as well.
Have done shop worker, lifeguard and Playworker, a friend is helping to try me out as a waiter/barman soon but again, not guaranteed hours. Something I've always fancied doing to see what it's like.
Can try anything out and pick up skills etc pretty quickly, have a CV as long as my arm from this job as I'm basically a farm hand as well so can deal with animals and basic plant easily.
Now anyone who's had to endure my company for over 5 minutes will confirm I'm a laid back, happy go lucky, chatty excitable guy who can get on with anyway.
The situation I'm in is slowly crushing me and has brought me close to tears a couple of times. Not like me at all.
So does anyone have suggestions for me to explore?
Or does anyone need an extra staff member?
Have own reliable* car, clean licence and can add business insurance if needed.

- surprisingly it is my most reliable car ever to date. 0 breakdowns or RAC visits. I'm hoping I'm still on the best customers Christmas card list though.

Have you thought about working on the Nurse bank (NHS). My wife did this for a number of years and she always had regular work through them.
At this time of year the post office are always looking for staff as well.
If you're looking at hobs as well i'd recommend an induction hob, fantastic bits of kit
Good luck!

I could put you forward as a reject parachute tester, pays great but uncertain as to term of employment
Hope you manage to get something sorted young'un that suits your skill-set or alternatively opens up a whole new avenue for you. (I was thinking along the lines of escort agency work for those with vision problems since anyone with 20-20 would be away faster than Usain Bolt!).

You have to be a registered Nurse to do this. My Other have does this but if you are a carer then what about bank work In care homes ect??? From what i hear they are always screaming out for staff. Not the best work put it pays the bills.Good luck!
I would not bet on getting work with the NHS my other have has just got a bank position after sending away the best part of 150 applications all over Scotland to be able to get a NHS job at long last after 2 years she has it now. Public sector is not very buoyant with new postions just now

.
If you work as a nurse auxillary I think you can just apply, no previous experience needed (But useful obviously). I should have been clearer in my original message. .My wife did this job as a student with no previous, then went onto to do it full time until she could find a job after graduation.
Andrew MG's g/f is working as a nurse and did a lot of aux work. May want to phone him and ask Jen to advise
Otherwise:
Bank Robber?
Hit Man?
International Playboy?
Jewal theif?
Erotic male dancer?
I enjoyed my time doing these, and would recomend any of them!
Hope things work out v soon

Paul, thank's for the list. Should my normal job searches fail. I shall try them out. Do you do free lawyery stuff? Just in case.
I stay in Airdrie area. College is City of Glasgow in Hanover street.
Thanks for the idea's. Shall have a look at them.
I need them to work round college though which limit's my availability a bit though.
Have had 2 people from here in contact. One with an offer, and a second will check for possibilities.
