What's everyone doing , winter 12/13
Discussion
Seeing as you have nothing to do this winter, when can I expect you round to help Si?
I've ashorter list than last year... got some things to finish from last years list
Carbon kevlar doors
Carbon front clip
Full respray with some of the carbon panels laquered.
Revise the cooling system maybe larger rad (I have the pro alloy one already).
Map the car beyond 1bar
Carbon Kevlar floor panels
New seats (my own design and of cause carbon)
I suspect the last 3 may stretch into mid next year as my priority is to get the panels finished and the car painted and fully mapped
Id set myself some very challenging targets last winter, like drop the cars weight by a further 50kgs and give the car another 100bhp... yet keep the car everyday drivable with air con electric windows and upgrade the stereo etc
Now I have written it down it makes me realise how much I achieved last winter
My car is DEFINATELLY going to lemans this year, missed it for the first time last year and its not happening again

Jetstream are doing it all for me now!
New engine,
Fire extinguisher system plumbed in,
Floating Alcon front discs,
Lightweight battery behind seat,
Electrical isolation points inside and outside car,
Uprights and cross bars added to rear of roll cage and doors,
Venting rear clam,
Which leaves me to get a reverie steering wheel and diffuser to do myself!
nice and easy!

There are rumours that Matt and Dave are going to produce the only 2 upgrades i want.
They are mostly vanity related but apparently slightly functional too. One of them is a pair of new tow hooks...body coloured and not made of play-doh!
NOT keen to replace clutch slave cylinder until it properly gives up.
Have done nothing about my "loose" wheel hub nut yet.....wondering if plugging the car in and forgetting about it for a while might work! lol

Well it's that time again , winter when Noblers all over the country draw up the list of winter upgrades and repairs !!!
My list is pretty impressive .......... I have NOTHING to do
Tux
Mate.....Really?My list is pretty impressive .......... I have NOTHING to do

Tux
How about.....brake calipers, wheels, adjustable arb, swirl pot, carbon floor, canards......
And that's without even really thinking about it!

Well, I will be going off to Arjeplog with work again for 7 1/2 weeks while the Noble will be sitting in my parents' garage in a few weeks time until about April... need to wash it, replace some suspension bits... think about selling it.
I've bought a 328i to tool around in, having quite a lot of fun driving that and haven't driven the Noble for a week or so since. Dunno what I want to do really, I'd like to do some trackdays but then again, I can't really afford to take it on track.
Will make a decision when I get back I guess.

Moving in and finishing off the new house and getting it ready for the new born in Feb.
Also and more on topic is getting the garage to look nice inside, it has enough room for the car but it needs tarting up and getting the electric rolling door fitted.
I also have a custom diffuser to fit
ST STL tow hooks.
Need to change back to winter wheels and fit the rear S flaps.
Might not be able to afford it but I want another Wideband fitted in the other bank and get a few sensors added so the ECU can keep an eye on it all.

Tux - if you have nothing to do, what about a prototype rear diffuser made in ally
and if you get bored adjustable camber for the front/rear
I reckon its time you added one of those on board cameras with gps etc
what about fitting traction control (quite easy to fit)
Hi Gadge prototype type alloy defuser already done and tested , first ones available end Nov . and if you get bored adjustable camber for the front/rear

Cooling mod
Vents on rear clam
Replace all the water hoses but switch to solid pipes through tunnel.
I might even lag the tunnel pipes as an added measure to help reduce cabin temperature.
is that last one a good or a bad idea?
Some of the pipes are solid as standard.... and those pipes (the rad main pipes) are insulated...Vents on rear clam
