Hello,

I am the proud owner of a Atlas grey metallic 911. I could just put it through a car wash but I also like to look after it and make it look its best.
Can anybody recommend a really good wax/polish for this colour? I am happy to invest in a quality product if necessary.

Thank you very much for your tips.

Kind regards,
Dagmar

Zymol Carbon

Autoglym HD wax

or just about any wax
it's all about the prep to get the final finish.

You want to polish first and then protect with wax or sealant. Keep it simple if you like and go for Autoglym Super Reesin Polish followed by their HD wax. Or mix it up and use one of many other options. Either way, the stages are always the same.

Collinite 476 is a good winter wax - (in my opinion) - I'm using it on black, silver, grey and white cars. so it's a good all rounder.

I previously used Dodo Juice Purple Haze on the black - it is also good and is meant to be specifically for dark colours.

My father's neighbour, who has concours winning Porsches, swears by RaceGlaze which I intend to try after the Collinite is finished.

Hi
Prep is all important as said by some.So if it needs claying clay it polish it pre cleanse ready for your chosen sealant or wax yes wax is a sealant.
I find topping off with Dodo Supernatural is great then if you want once its cured for 24 to 48 hours top off with Dodo Purple haze to give the paint some zing.
On another note if its an everyday driver for winter I would top off with Collinte for the next few months. It will see you through until spring.
Hope that helps Atlas grey in pic using the products mentioned.

Something I think everyone else has missed.

For starters if you want it looking its best you won't go anywhere near a car wash.
Lambswool mitt & hand wash it at home...

It makes me laugh when people put a £100 wax on swirled paintwork.
