Looking for a 4/4 cello...

It's just for practising.
I used to play a lot in orchestra's and solo over 10 years ago, but havn't played since.
I wanted to spend not much more than £800, but really didnt want to end up with a chinese cello, as when I last moved to a 4/4 cello from 3/4 I couldnt afford a decent one, and it put me off playing.

I don't know of anything in that price range but I wouldn't disregard Chinese;
they have come on in leaps and bounds recently and even the older cheaper nastier ones can be set up by somebody who knows what they are doing to create an instrument that works.
Recipe: Change tailpiece, strings, bridge, sound post and away you go - good luck

I am hopefully going to be visiting a string instrument specialist this weekend who has a number of chinese cellos which he restrings and sets up himself, and a couple of more older german cellos for a bit more money.
Will try them out and see whats best.
Just worried that i might not remember how to play now!
