Classical pieces for guitar

Well, I bought a Takamine classical guitar for the win. I'd like to get into a few popular classical pieces for guitar since knocking out that Mason Williams piece has rekindled my interest in finger style guitar.

I don't know many, so any recommendations from you good people?

If you're looking at Spanish classical stuff, then Romanza by Anon. (seems nobody knows who wrote the music originally) is a good starting point, I think. Especially the major section (the first section is Emin) as it gives your fretting hand a bloody good workout.

The Malaguena has lots of variations, varying from fiendishly difficult to moderately easy, and has a lovely Spanish feel to it.

Asturias by Isaac Albeniz is another great piece of music, even if (like me) you just play bits and pieces of it.

One piece I've always wanted to play is Memories of The Alhambra by Tarrega. But my talent says

Depends on your musical taste and what gives you satisfaction in terms of how you play.
I don't know your general standard of playing but you can either choose something simple
which you might find a bit dull, or you can take on a 'challenge' and maybe never really
play it to your satisfaction.
You could try 'Lagrima' by Tarrega, or his 'Adelita', both quite effctive pieces but not hard. I lost the will to live whilst having a quick youtube search, so many cr@p performances of them. Or there are many transcriptions for guitar of Renaissance dance pieces but they might not be 'exciting' enough for you; for example: http://www.universaledition.com/Renaissance-Dances...

How about mixing up some classical with prog rock and trying Mood For a Day by Yes. It's a nice simple piece and sounds good too.

I have a book called Treasures of the Spanish Guitar - its great as it ahs slow, mid and up tempo pieces in notation and tab.

Canarios, Mazurka etc are good pieces to play...
