selling a downloaded game

i won a competition recently, and my prize was any PC game I chose. Not giving a s
t, and not thinking people play PC games anymore, I chose FIFA 13. It was delivered as a download and not a box! I wanted to sell the Fing thing, and am I right in thinking that now I cannot? It is legitimate, but they have sent me an exe which is basically a download manager that triggers a 8Gb download of the game. Sounds dodge, but is legit. Is this worth anything, and can i even sell it?!

Something to do with you not actually owning the game, just a licence to play it that is non transferable.

i can understand that for downloads on XBox and things like that... but on PC the download is basically the entire contents on the DVD... bit of a grey area. I have definitely heard of the type of clause you mention though. That said eBay has many listings for this game (and probably others) as 'origin' download keys... i imagine this is some kind of gaming platform you install to PC.Something to do with you not actually owning the game, just a licence to play it that is non transferable.

Don't get me wrong, it is probably possible for you to do it. Whether or not it would be strictly "legal" or not I am unaware. Probably the same sort of grey area as using a VHS recorder to record a film off TV of old.f
