Given the, erm, variable quality of the roads around these parts, is there anywhere which has a very smooth road surface without any defects/gaps/ripples of any kind?

Doesn't need to be necessarily straight but bonus points if it's in an NSL.

ETA - I'm not 100% convinced that my wheels are totally balanced despite getting them done at an Aberdeen tyre place. Granted I'll just go to my favourite tyre place in Inverurie, but was just curious if such a road existed tongue out

Sure - there's a new bit of tarmac on the A90 close to Portlethen - it lasts for about 20 feet!

The rest of the road is like a ploughed field (as usual)

Can't think of any decent stretches of good carriageway unfortunately.

Was down at the NEC last week and their roads in that area were noticeably better maintained than ours. It can't all be down to the weather can it?
