Strange request - wooden wine/fruit crates?
Discussion
OK, thought i'd throw this one out to you lot as you tend to be excellent and solving everything else
I have recently started collecting vinyl records after swapping a set of lawn bowls for a collection & player.
I am loving recreating my cassette collection (I was never into vinyl as a kid) on vinyl now, mostly mainstream 80's pop and the like. Spent a great Saturday in Glasgow just past going round all the vinyl shops and came away with loads.
This is where the problem lies - I am currently keeping them all in some of Ikea's finest plastic tubs, which frankly look crap in the family room.
I am looking to source some wooden crates, my mate has some old wine ones but having spoken to a couple of merchants in Edinburgh, as well as M&S, it seems noone transports in wood any more due to weight/costs.
Do any of you lot know of a good source, preferably central belt area, or maybe something suitable as an alternative that I haven't thought of?
I'm not looking to spend 10x the value of the collection on it but would be willing to spend some on something nice.
Thanks guys,
Steven

Every so often we get fruit in wooden crates at the hotel I work in but it is really flimsy cheap wood. Possibly balsa wood. Your best bet will be a salvage yard or maybe one of the posh wine shops. They may have some knocking around from an old display.
Holy double posts Batman
Thanks bud, appreciated.
I bought one of those Ikea units last night - works a treat, but not suited to 7" so still on the hunt for some nice crates.
