I guess this subject has come up a 100 times before, but please does anyone know of a good, cost effective company to refurbish alloy wheels. I have found plenty of companies who can sort out standard wheels, the type I have a problem with are the 2 piece 'BBS' type fitted to my 96 BMW 5401. These have got very untidy. I have tried taking them apart myself, but run into problems (perhaps someone knows how they come apart?). I have removed all the nuts from the rear of a wheel, only to find the bolts appear to be threaded into the wheel, but with no heads on the front to get hold of. Any help with this topic would be very appreciated. I live near Bracknell - Berks, so if you know of any local companies that would be even better.

Thanks in anticipation.

Check out Funkyboogalooo's thread on Page 3 (Refurbished Wheel Pics). He used www.renowheel.co.uk and has posted pics of the results.

I know that Micheldever Tyres do refurbs, not sure if they're any good, but they have a good reputation when it comes to supplying tyres.

They're just of the A30 north of Winchester.

Bristol based www.smartrepairsonline.co.uk did a good job on my M3 wheels recently. Only £50 each too.
