I tend to use PayPal for much of my online purchasing, using one nominated credit card, but have never registered a bank account. Yesterday PP sent me a message saying "You have £345.12 left before your PP credit limit is reached. Register your bank account now to avoid possible loss of PP facility", or something like that. As far as I'm concerned I don't have/need a PP credit limit as any charge goes straight off my credit card. What goes on?

Any advice gratefully received. Is this scam? confused

Yes it's a scam email.

But PayPal are sharks as well so have as little to do with them as possible.

They're quite happy to feck you up at the drop of a hat and without warning.

Think they now force you to sign an agreement that lets them take money out of any linked accounts so only link to a spare real bank account that has £1 balance.

Log into your PAYPAL account and read your messages/actions. I seem to remember something about having to verify your account when you reach a certain spend threshold. You verify your account via a linked bank account in your name.

PayPal will want you to link your bak account to your PayPal account for verification. They will stick 2 nominal amounts of money into your account like 0.11p and then ask you for verification.
