Look forward to seeing lots of creative long exposure shots. Best of luck.

This is the discussion thread - Entries in the other thread please

Monthly Photography Competition Rules:

The photos taken must be your own work
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for following month and judges it at the end of the month
There will be two threads that need starting: The Entries thread to commence same time as Discussion thread. In the Entries thread only one picture should be entered. Any others you wish to discuss should be posted in the Discussion thread.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered should be no bigger than 750 pixels wide for a landscape photo and 600 pixels high for a portrait photo due to the PH squash factor. Links to larger versions are permissible.

Here's one from a night shoot in London this summer. This picture always makes me happy I don't know why. Hope it works for you!

Some amazing shots in this and all the competitions

What would you class as long exposure though, I took some of a fireworks event recently at 10 seconds which I thought was quite long but some of these are obviously much longer?

Good question!

Is it any shot where you need to use a tripod? Any shot which requires you to use the Bulb setting on your camera? Anything longer than a certain shutter time?

Very good question, I guess anything over a second would count for the comp.
