Im thinking of throwing some OZ Algeritas on my 996GT2 for general hooning around, my OEM rims are mint and I'd like to keep them that way.

I've only used AO48's on race cars that are a lot lighter, but they worked very well. Grippy, quick to come in, and didnt seem to degrade too much with heat cycles. Ok in the wet too. Has anyone here got any recomendations here to go on OE size rims (8.5 and 12 inch)? Wear doesnt bother me, I'm after grip and controllability from a list 1B type competition tyre.

Thanks,

Jon.

Toyo R888s are great in the dry and not too bad in the wet, as long as you avoid standing water!

Good luck finding tyres in the sizes you are after! I was in the same position as you last year and was told that there were very few tyres that fit the GT2 rims. PARR could get me some Cups but although would just fit on the rim, were not the same size as the tyres recommended by Porsche. JZM could not get Toyos for standard GT2 wheels.
