Am looking at buying a Porsche Boxster Spyder 2010/11. Anyone on here have one that I could take a look at and talk about. I live in Berkshire, so would be happy to travel a couple of hours to see one.

Hi Andy,

I currently run three cars, a XC60 for work, the wifes TT and my summer toy a VX220 Turbo. Do you run the Spyder as your everyday car?

What options do you have on the Spyder?

Would love to help out, but you'd need to fly to Jersey for a look!

Hopefully there is someone nearer who can help.

Go drive one, you'll want one!

The essential basics are carbon buckets, Spyder wheels, PSE. Personal preference is for a manual although the PDK is excellent especially with optional paddles.

I'm in central Reading. Spyder is the best purchase I've ever made!

Ds240 - A trip to Jersey sounds good, my grandparents used to live on Guernsey and Alderney. Though I think I will try and get to see one a little closer. It must be a killer with a 40mph limit on Jersey!

Trickster - I am in Grazeley, will drop you a line when I get back from Norfolk.

Lox - Lovely car that, what spec is it? I am back from Norfolk in 10 days, will drop you a line as well.

Thanks everyone for comments, you guys should get some meets going. Half the fun of the VX220 is all the meets and track days they organise.

I drive a spyder also, great car

PDK felt amazing at the ring last month, must haves are the seats!

I wouldn't be to bothered about the PSE, as its still not enough, big mod for me was the sports steering wheel with paddle

I'd be interested in meeting up with a remapped or IPD modded Spyder, keep thinking winter projects.

mine has pse,s/s,plus chrono ,aircon and radio with sound pack, pcm with phone module and usb.the aircon and radio only add back in 15kg and if you have the radio then pcm/phone/usb must only add an extra kilo at most so not really going to make much difference,so thats still under 1300kg dry weight or less than someone with pdk which adds 30kg

I'd be up for a meet over Chrimbo period.....

Would have to be out for a drive as well, not just standing in a carpark like dullards!
