What Percentage of your income do you save/invest?
Discussion
I save 500 a month into a monthly deposit then put aside 30 a month for when my work does the employee share ownership plan each july and invest that as they match your investment up to 360.
Not saving for anyting particular as got married and bought a place. I guess I am saving for early retirement or kids.

Off my take home:
15% mortgage overpayment (effectively I double up). Probably will increase this a bit.
4% pension contribution (works pays 10% then matches up to a further 4%), so actual pension savings equivalent to 18% p.a.
2% for daughters uni fees. Aim to pay all fee's & costs when she's old enough (she's 2 currently). Not entirely sure about this from a life lesson PoV, but would like the option too (although it does amortise to zero if she does a Mickey Mouse degree).
5% ISA
10% slush fund / big-boy toys
I ought to do save more, but have an addiction to carbon-fibre, particularly if it's got S-Works or Zipp on it.
As I pay all the bills etc, the wife sticks away about 15% of the combined Net income in joint savings / rainy day / big things pot (and she has her own slush fund).
