Not brilliant - it was my first race in a year, and I just couldn't get into it in practice (not helped by brand new tyres and a downpour just as we were waiting to go out). I nearly packed up and went home after ending up 8 seconds slower than I went last year, although I managed to go a bit better in the race and knocked 6 seconds off my practice time once I got into it a bit more.
Very frustrating to be behind people that I'm normally much quicker than, but I guess that happens when you get a bit rusty... Nothing a day's testing wouldn't sort out I'm sure.
So were you running in Sports1000 then? I saw a black one that's being built for RGB and it looked very nice indeed!

I'm not running in Sports 1000 yet - that is a bit of an ongoing project, one which will be subject to me getting a better paid job if it is to come off!! I have the engine but it is slow progress sitting behind a CAD tube when you have been at work all day doing the same. I'm quite tempted to have a go at stock hatch in the meantime as I have the perfect donor road car.... (probably a bit tidy to race though!)
You seem to hold your own ok in the races from where I was standing although it did look a bit slick out there with the on/off damp conditions!
Planning to do any more rounds this year?

As much as I'd love to do more this year, I don't think I can afford it, although with the weather we've been having, I'm not too upset to be missing races which are probably going to be wet! I am doing the Birkett 6hr relay though with some other PHers, so that should be good fun! If you fancy turning up to give us a hand, then all assistance is welcome!
