Hello chaps,

Me and my partner are looking for somewhere to rent for the dates of the 30th of December until the 2nd January, as we want to go and enjoy Hogmanay. Does anyone own, or know of a place that is fairly reasonable value for money near to Princes Street in Edinburgh? I fear we may have left it too late! We have about £300 to spend for the three nights on somewhere to stay.

Hoping I can find something, she's going mental at me because it hasn't been sorted!

Thanks

Workshy Fop

Far be it from me to put you off but Edinburgh at Hogmanay is over hyped and no longer one of the places to be,speaking as a resident of Edinburgh

Dont be too concered about being right in the centre the bus service in edinburgh is fantastic. Try the b&b's on the leith links and see if you can get a deal for the group.

Last year's (free) nightbus routes to give you an idea of what other areas are manageable:

Don't forget you now need a ticket to get inside the gates these days.

The last few years the tickets have still been available up to the night from the box office.

Aye, but it's worth doing the once. Same as the Fringe. Pain in the arse to go about your daily life, but visiting? Absolutely fantastic.

Yup, I'm afraid you will pay more than that for a reasonable B&B.
