Just slept off the worst of the jetlag but still knackered, only thing keeping me awake is the thought of getting back in the beastie for a spin round the block.

I'll need to be carefull - I might scare myself after gettting used to the high power PT Cruiser hire car I've had to live with for the last two weeks.

Canada has some lovely long straight roads - ideal for TVR's but just a silly 65mph speed limit which I'm glad to say everyone ignores and drives at around 70-80mph. Of course I had a hire car reputation to uphold and was going even faster and narrowly missed two speeding tickets - good observation spotted the man with the laser, thank goodness.

Going out for a blast, then I've got the Croft booking to sort out.

It's good to be home.

Ahhhhhhhhhh!

That's better. A quick blast round the block to settle my addiction.

I don't like leaving the car for a two week period without being drove as it's as grumpy as hell when I get back in it.

Engine sounded very tappity until the oil circulated and the gearbox was like a bag of hammers. A very slow warm up was to follow, get everything sounding like it did before then a quick check of tyre pressures and it was off we go - yee haa! Silly speeds.

Oh, I've missed my car.

Yrsh but remember in the states/Can it's just fun money - if they catch you then more fool you pay us and be on your way. I had some hols out there 3 years ago, Seattle -> Vancouver ->Calcary -> Yellowstone 650 miles no plod and hirecar cruise set at 75. No problems.

You missed Chris's mate which was a shame. Two rides in each Chimaera he sitll wasn't awed enough - the cerb or bomb's T350 would have blown him away. Stil, the 'theres some TVRs over there' comment must have given Chris a smile or two....
