A very, very silly band make no mistake, but after seeing them at the Wolves Civic tonight, made me realise how utterly brilliant they are, anyone see them on the Rize of the Fenix tour?

Long live the D

I always liked 'Tribute'.

Jack Black is a showman and very watchable IMO. I saw some festival footage and the crowd loved them.

Saw them in 2006 I think at the NEC with some mates, they were just touring the Pick of Destiny album. They put on a great act, sort of music, comedy theatre mash up. Big props as I recall.

They had a guy who to this day I can't find out who, who 'warmed' up the crowd. He basically was a terrible comedian and ended up having everyone booing him and hurling coins and bottles. It was all part of the act. I would like to know who he is.

If you want to take the silliness a step further, have a look on youtube for Axis of Awesome - They're an Aussie band who's style is very similar to Tenacious D but the content is funnier.

Saw them when they supported Metallica in Dublin a few years back, at the height of the POD tour, pure pantomime, but so, so entertaining!

Most of Rize wasn't great, however 39 is a great song.

We had it played at my brother's wedding, he found it funny, she was less impressed mind! smile

Very entertaining band live.

I saw them in Brighton last week. I didn't know much about them, but was persuaded to go.

I wasn't expecting much musically from JB, but was pleasantly surprised. It's a good mixture of music and sodding about.
