If it were me I would have waited at least a couple of days so it wasn't so closely tied to the anti-doping pledge signing been on the cards a while though so hopefully wont attract too much speculation

I suspect they had already planned to announce the OPQS deal today, and didn't know that Sky were going to announce their pledge thing. I agree it could look suspicious though - I've seen a few mutterings but I genuinely don't think he's anything other than squeaky clean.

What's the betting OPQS announce their own similar pledge soon though?

They've let Leipheimer go, so may feel they've done enough to demonstrate their credentials. My sense is that they don't get anything like so worked up about it sur le continent - it's been institutionalised for so long that window dressing is enough.
