Heading over for business next week, have three play days (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) then my colleagues arrive. They want us all to play golf on Sunday.

Are there any public courses with cart and club hire?

Many thanks all

The Track at Meydan is a full 'pay and play' facility

Jebel Ali Golf Club, ring up and book you don't have to be a member or play with a member.

Meydan best value, book it online for best rates.

Better course than Jebel Ali as well imo.

You can get on anywhere with enough advance warning but the price will make you cry most places.

You can hire everything at Arabian Ranches, shoes included (although in a somewhat eccentric manner, I have played golf three times since I got here, and have bought three pairs of shoes)

Thanks all for the tips.

I'll make some enquiries.

Meydan looks to be the goods as it close to where we're staying.

Not cheap though! Even booking in advance is over 50 quid per person with club hire.

For golf in Dubai that is nearly free!

If you are free Thursday night (18th) then why not join us for karting and a few (!) beers.

Very much so - the main reason I rarely play now is it's extortionate!
