Both the RSR TVRs and the Eclipse car are missing from the entry list this weekend, The Racesport car is there though.

Shame, really. These two teams had a rather large fan base, no-one really like to see people throw money at the championship ie the Cocker Porsche and Ferraris (not saying there isn't monet behind RSR).

Thanks.

Good Luck to my "Tuscan" team mate David Mason who is also driving the Noble with Martin Short this weekend.

What! Only one TVR, no Ultimas? This IS the BRITISH GT chamionship isnt it? Or has it been changed over to another round of the Porsche YAWN Cup? Thank goodness the Noble will be there. Suddenly I'm not looking forward to it quite so much. Still, there'll always be those frightfully nice and sporting F3's to laugh at.

Yeah, I mean, British GT Championship has always meant 'British' cars to watch, hasn't it?
Are the Noble, Morgan, Marcos and Lotus not enough when the others can't enter due to other commitments or budgets?

The title this year has been between Porsches and Ferrari's. With the occasional TVR or Corvette thrown in.

When the British manufacturers throw as much time, development and money at racing as their European counterparts do, then they'll be more entered and winning.

Stop moaning about the amount of british cars and watch British drivers in damn good races.

Sorry, wasn't meant as a rant (per se).

Just trying to point out that there are more than just the TVR's holding up the British Sportscar tradition.

That and the drivers are pretty much all British too.

I know, but it's just so good to see a flock of TVR's, plus the unpredictable Ultima, giving the big manufacturers a good stuffing. Oh well, we'll just have to get behind the Corvettes - must be a British 'underdog' mentality I'm suffering from.

Or the Moslers. There's two of them there this weekend! They appeal more than the Corvettes, personally.

I assume you mean upholding, TVR don't usually hold things up Rich...

This hasn't been Eclipses year this year

Small chance they will be racing in the GT for the rest of the year too.

Hell of a shame for Martin Short and David Mason in the Noble. Looked to be the fastest cup car out there today.

Was leading (cup class) in the first race until hit by a misfire, cleared after a while and stormed back up behind the new lead, misfired again, and again ....... then finally dropped to third in class on the last lap. Problem apparently caused by excess heat leading to an overheating ECU - fan fitted in the break.

Second race, leading cup class again and pulling away comfortably. A little over ten minutes in dropped out of the running. Wheel collapsed with spokes broken and pitched Martin Short into a spin at (I think) 130mph. No significant damage done but a bit of a focussing moment I guess Even with doing only a fraction of the race still set fastest lap for cup class.

Unfortunately this may be the last appearance of the car this season as apparently it is due to be going over to California.

I saw Steve Hyde @ Thruxton yesterday and understand they will be at Brands for the final round.
