Bleary-eyed the southerners gathered at South Mimms

johno & gavinr get top marks for leaving the roof off .... it started to rain just as we left

We stopped en route at Northampton to pick up "Buttercup" and friends.

Miraculously, we all managed to arrive at about the same time to don full wet weather protection. Great turnout of fellow PHers from all over.

If you show me yours, I'll show you mine . "The Twins" compare trunnions ...

Lovely ...

I'd like to add my (belated) thanks to Nubbin for organising the event. It's a real pity that we didn't get to meet more of you; the dryness and warmth of the house were too great a draw...

And what was it with the M1 on the way back . I just managed to make it home in time to jump straight into a taxi to the airport - luckily I got my flight

What I don't understand is why this forum is so TVR orientated? Have I missed something? Thought it was just a general car forum.
I spot just one other make in the photos, and that's an Elise.

I think that it was originally aimed at TVR owners as Ted owns a TVR. I guess that it was setup with that group in mind but has developed into the best motoring web site in the UK. IMHO.......

Well, if you haven't got a TVR, come to the next meeting! In truth, a lot of people came in non-tvr, non-sports acrs, because of the weather. It's just that you don't notice them, just the huge swathe of TVR's!

Agreed. Its just TVR orientated because few others come along. If someone cam along in an Astravan it would give TVR owners something new to look at.

Seriously, its the social event that is important not TVR ownership.

David,

PistonHeads was originally a different site dedicated to TVRs. It is now aimed at all those who own, or have an intrest in performance cars. Due to the origins it still has a predominance of TVR chat, however other makes are now represented including recent forums for bikes and Jap cars.

Lotus was the second marque to make an impact although Porsche now seems to be the dominant second place.

The recent event (PH3) was open to all cars and bikes - but mainly TVRs attended.

Cheers,
JSG.
