clothing advice

Ive started cycling again for the first time since i was a kid,really enjoying it and commute to work on the bike 2-3 days per week and want to carry on in the winter.

So im after a weatherproof jacket and trousers to wear over the office gear and pref something hi vis.
Im a pauper/tight so where is best to try for best value,dont mind online or in a shop?

I picked up a Polaris Proton Hi-vis from my LBS yesterday for £70, I'm only a 38" chest but went for a large so i can layer up underneath (as I have poor circulation and the cold is a bh); it's got a large, zipped, rear pocket, reflective spoots on the shoulder and arms, good long arm and back length and light weight enough to be taken off and stuffed up a jersey without discomfort.
They do one below this cost wise but hard to find atm.

rather non-PH as it's cheap. It does the job OK, I think it's good value.

Liking both of them, might have a punt on the decathlon one as at £25 it looks goo but been contemplating the one below too as the breathability sounds good,dont want to get to work soaked with sweat!

Note the use of 'water resistant' rather than 'waterproof' on this one. It may not hold up too well in anything more than light rain.

Mmm, did notice that and it appears that they've sacrificed taped seams for breathability.

I've ordered it as I fancied the warmth/breathability factor of it rather than having to wear work wear then something warm then a waterproof something on top of that.

Fingers crossed its rpetty water resistant but not the end of the world as can always get something else for torrential downpours.

I've got some SPEG baggy 1/2 MTB shorts bought on price. They're adequate. I'd be lying though If I didn't wish I'd spent 30 or 40% more and got something nicer.
