Got a strange one with the alarm. It's started going off at random when parked in the garage.
I've checked all doors are closed and cleaned the connection on the sensor at the rear clam.
I've never had any problems with the alarm so what has changed ? Well I've switched on both interior lights due to the obvious lack of light nowadays.
Both lights go off when I arm the car.
Does the flashing light tell me what sensor is "faulting"?

Since the last problem with the alarm it appeared to have gone away since I cleaned the contacts of the sensor to the rear clam.
However, it's now back!
The car is always garaged and trickle charged.
I have experimented by leaving the trickle charger off for a week and had no problems.
I've had the car out today on a dry day and the alarm has started going off again.
I've checked the US Build manual but can't see any details on whether the alarm can tell you where it's faulting. I was expecting perhaps that 4 quick flashes of the red light would mean passenger door or something.
In the meantime I'm off to check the state of my fusebox for leaks.

My GTO3 did this, I removed the door sensors one at a time and found one of them to be faulty as when you close the doors they just about touch the black plastic bit sticking out so any wear and they'll play up. Worth a try as it's a simple check, just be carefull not to let the wire drop into the hole in the body.
Had a similar problem with mine, but it was corosion on the door contacts, cleaned both of them up and expended them slightly and it solved the problem. Then had another one which was traced to the ultrasonics detector box, so if all else fails worth disconnecting it to see if the problem disappears.
