Clubs, meets and events

Hello,

I have been reading quite a lot of what goes on with the owners of the S-Series.

It is an amazing car, too. The sound, and the looks. I could not believe they are quite so cheap to buy. I should imagine the market must be at a low for these cars, because they are a classic in waiting.

Anyway, I would like to take part in meets, events and get together with other S owners. How do I find out about these?

The TVRCC (TVR Car Club) is a great place to start, there are regional meets regularly arranged and you don't need to own a TVR to join...

As said above, your local TVRCC region will have regular meets http://www.tvr-car-club.co.uk/your_region.asp and the forums and Sprint will have details of various events.

For things specifically for S's also keep an eye on this forum. Or start your own topic to get together with S owners local to you - most on here will be happy to get their cars out and meet up with others

If you like this followed by a bit (or a lot) of this and this , then you'll get along just fine on the S Euro Tours. Helps if you have a sense of humour too.

Thank you for all of the replies. I really appreciate it.

I love the car, I actually picked her up from this website from a member. It is beautiful. Had the top down last weekend. I thought that selling the BMW coupe for a company car last week was the end of my decent motoring life! Little did I know how great the S is, and how good they look.

I am interested in the Euro Tour. Although still clinging on to my youth (under 30, just), I love real ale and driving. Not at the same time, but you get the idea.

I would be very happy to attend shows and events with the car. I am based in the area around the borders Wiltshire/Berkshire. Great TVR driving country!

Having drove it all weekend, the only main comment I have is that my feet get very warm! It is being services on Wednesday so I will ask them to look at the coolant.

If it's your first fibreglass bodied car then the heat soak really can come as a surprise LOL I had a Scimitar for 15 years so had some preparation for this. Unfortunately my driver's window is currently stuck so I can't even crack that open LOL (not that this would help your feet too much)

Me too but it's hard to find in mainland Europe. Having said that, Euro beer doesn't seem to taste too bad when drinking it over there, wouldn't touch in a proper pub though

I have friends out in Munich and we always make it over for Starkbierfest. Atmosphere is brilliant.

I love Belgian beers and the odd Dutch/Danish/Czech tipple; we often get away for foreign beer festivals. Combining that with cars would be bliss... As for the beer, I am sure I would survive, but I am not one for drinking Chimay in the local when there are ales such as Summer Lightening on tap!

Yep that was what I call a good lunch, no idea what I had to eat though ;-)

On another note I am wondering if there will any other S's doing the tunnel run round London on the 14th, as expect to partner Pompey Tim as usual and don't normally see many other S's....
