Hi, I have just purchased an S1 in fairly good order to take some of the winter stress from my Taimar, and enjoy once again wind-in-the-hair..................ect...ect! But it has a strange problem, from cold on idle it starts fist time, runs and revs fine but after 1/2 a mile only, it cuts out, with the petrol pump making a "scavenging" sound like the last bathwater going down the drain or a kid sucking his last juice through a straw! if I switch off, and then on, it is OK for a few seconds, then gurgles and cuts out. The pump and filter appear new, it came with recent invoice for this. The battery also goes flat alarmingly fast, and this looks new and is rated at 55 amp hr. I am looking to re-make all the earths I can find , and probably "hot wire" the pump and try that, but I wanted to know what the pump is off, so I can replace it, if necsesary . There is plenty of petrol in the tank. Anyone had similar experiences?

Removed the round plate, and the filter dropped out! it had come adrift, and was probably blocking the pipe when the pump sucked, so , binned it , job done!
Thanks for advice.
