Panel removal

Is it possible to remove the panel that joins the front clam and the door? When the clam is open there are three fixings on the top of the panel and I can see a small grub screw if I open the door, are there anymore hidden fixings or is it just bonded?

Hi Matt , undo the top 3 screws if you can i had to cut one of mine of , its on dowls at the bottom then leaver off , they are bonded in place but with a bit of elbow grease they will come off .

a good little aero upgrade is to cut some slots to allow the air to get out of the wheel arch at speed , helps with front end lift .

I think one of the bolts is just a locating lug hence it spins.. Try pulling it off once you've removed all other fixings before you get the grinder out.
Simon.. How do you get on with sitting water in the panel once you've cut them?

Hi Dunc , drilled a drain hole in the bottom , no problems so far .

Ok thanks, I've got them off and sat in the garage ready to mutilate! Already had to empty them of water, hence asking. What about wind noise?

Not noticed any more than normal , don't forget to put some wire mesh over the hole to stop the stone's getting in .
