Customer service from an eBay seller

Afternoon All,
It's easy to moan about bad customer service, so I thought I'd redress the balance a little with some excellent customer service for once.
Some of you may have noticed I had a new 7D on order - it arrived this morning
- so amongst other things, I wanted a second RC-1 remote for it, so I didn't have to swap the one on my 450D around. I ordered one second hand from The Photograher's Bag on eBay. It promptly arrived the following day, but unfortunately was lacking the holder that goes on to the camera strap.
I emailed them to let them know, and to ask if they could find it and send it out, rather than me having to return it. In their reply, they apologised and told me they'd send a complete replacement out immediately (which also arrived today, and is perfect). I said I'd return the current one, to which the answer was not to worry, and to keep it as a spare.
I'd never actually bothered to save a "favourite seller" on eBay before, but I certainly have now.

Of course what you really need to for the 7D is a battery grip and some spare batteries so you always have a set ready to go.
You may not know you need a battery grip. However the one I rented had one fitted and it felt really well balanced as a camera unit, especially with the bigger lenses. When I experimented and took the grip off ... just was not the same feeling of solidity as all. You really need to do yourself a favour and try one ...

I got a battery grip with my 450D, and ended up selling it very quickly, as I didn't like the feel of it, it made it less portable (already more of an issue for the 7D), and I never get close to shooting enough shots in one go to need an extra battery.Of course what you really need to for the 7D is a battery grip and some spare batteries so you always have a set ready to go.
