Ok, looking for some advice really.

Currently work for a major oil and gas service company in Aberdeen, but unfortunately everyone in our department is being made redundant due to a lack of future work.

In the process of looking for a new position at present, ideally as an Electrical Technician / Electrician. I have experience in this position and have my Compex certificate. Also toying with the idea of setting up a limited company and trying to get work in as an Electrical Inspector, but to be honest I think this would be as a bit of a last resort.

I have applied for a few roles so far but does anyone know any companies who are looking for Electricians at the moment?

Cheers

you could try sending your CV to us at recruitment@hallinmarine.co.uk

boss did mention maybe getting someone electrically biased in our workshop so worth a try, especially with compex certificates (saves me having to do the course again!)

yep quite busy, workshops not at the moment as all our ROV's are out working but gives them a chance to catch up on some other stuff.

Aye that sounds about right, everywhere is busy just now except for this place! Typical. So I take it you work with ROV's? How'd you get into that if you dont mind me asking? Looks interesting but seems difficult to get started in.
