Swapping Components to New Frame

I'm after a new (well, second hand) MTB to run single speed through winter. Thinking of an Inbred as it seems a common choice.
Only problem is I need large, all second hand ones seem to be medium or small.
So my plan is to buy a common second hand size and a brand new large frame. Swap components over and sell the second hand frame that I don't need.
Problem is I want to be sure all components will be a straight swap so I don't waste money.
Anyone know if there's a site to find the various sizes of a historic frame so I can compare it to the current years model in the, unlikely, event something has changed and now won't be compatible?

There's been a LOT of changes lately! Headsets/headtubes (there're countless variations now!), BBs, rear hubs etc, etc, so it's quite likely things have changed. i'm sure there's not a great deal in it, and someone around here might be able to guide you, but is there a chance you'll end up replacing the rear brake and gear cables if they are cut to length for the medium frame. that said, you might have been planning to put new cables on anyway :-)
