Chaps, appreciate any advice re 993 steering "feel"...

I've been lucky enough to run a 993 C2 for a year now, it replaced a 964 C2.

The 993's steering rack is quicker vs. 964, however it seems to lack the "feel and communication" of the 964's helm. Indeed, my 993's steering is not unlike a fwd Integra Type-R -- accurate but a bit numb ?

Has anybdy else noticed similar ?

Are there any other differences between the 993 C2 and 964 C2 steering hardware - rack / tie-rods / etc ?

NB my 993 sits approx -35mm vs std C2 and runs 18" wheels - would this combo "corrupt" the steering feel ? ...car has been set up by Centre Gravity so geo is ok, apparently

Cheers, Will

Hi buddy,
Yep my C2 steering on my 993 lacks the delicacy of the C2 964 I had previously. Both are/were running 17" cups.
I actually prefer the 993 steering if driving along bumby B roads.
