Anyone got any recommendations?

Probably to supply and fit but if not just to fit some I buy from Camskill.

Obviously there are a few chain places but I tend to find independent places are better and cheaper!

Thanks.

Why don't you just try E-Tyres?

They have local mobile fitters so cone to you and you can do it all online.

I've used http://www.mktyres.co.uk/ over the years and always got good service and prices.
But despite their name, they are not actually in Milton keynes!

Just phoned them and they want £166 fitted for tyres that are £133 from Camskill. And they can't supply them for a while.

I've bought tyres cheap online from Camskill or wherever, then got E Tyres to fit them at home. I could probably save a few coins by going to an indy drive-in place, but ET are convenient and good, especially with a low slung car like mine.

Another recommendation for B+T tyres. Also, try Tyres Direct on Barton Road in Bletchley, excellent prices but sometimes have limited stock.

Another vote for both of these, Tyres Direct have always been cheapest for me and they don't go crazy with the whirly guns either meaning should you want to replace a wheel at the roadside you don't need a 4 foot breaker bar! I've used B&T in the past too and found them decent as well.

I used the guys today at Atomic Wheels/Tyres in MK to fit 4 new tyres to my Cayman S, £12 per corner to fit and they did an amazing job. Great facilities, excellent customer service and they care about cars. I won't go anywhere else in MK again.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I actually ended up using The Garage in old Wolverton as they could do it at very short notice and were open to make a booking on a Sunday. They were good.

Thanks for the tip for Atomic though. It's only 2 mins from my house and I didn't realise they had a hunter machine. I actually thought it was a factory based on the size of the place!

I met the owner of spicers down the pub a few weeks ago. Knew from afar exactly what i needed for the R8. Very nice people, will def use them when the car needs some new rubbers.

Same here (if I'm not using Camskill and local fitter) Use torque wrench to tighten the nuts making life down the road nice and easy.
