I wonder if the flood defences implemented after the last disaster in Kilmarnock/Crookedholm has something to do with this?
I remember we had a no of cars towed in, filled with filthy water at the time, not a pretty site sadly.

You are such a juvenile!
Juvenile is finding out that you can do full throttle upshift's with the command shift function of your autobox. There is a very upset focus driver who had 2.8 tons get away from him off a roundabout in Airdrie tonight.

I would tend to think things would be better with a private firm.
Private firm have a contract with the Council or whoever. They will lean on them heavily, possible fines etc if fail to upkeep.
Whereas the roads that are in the Councils' control, well, they are answerable to no one!!
hmm, what about private firms maximising profit? Private firm have a contract with the Council or whoever. They will lean on them heavily, possible fines etc if fail to upkeep.
