The answers here are Pulp and Suede, but I'd say Oasis sneak it. Blur's latest single "Under The Westway" is a stunner mind.

Blur, Suede and Pulp are the best musically. No fan of Pulp myself but big fan of Blur and Suede. I've seen them all live. I've also seen those chancers Oasis. When they are on form, they are head and shoulders above the other three. Awesome live.

Was lucky enough to see Oasis really early on (Sheffield Leadmill-couple of hundred punters) & I wasn't expecting much...was into Suede, Strangelove, Radiohead-that kinda thing...anyway, I was absolutely blown sideways. A combination of sheer volume, tunes, confidence & an overwhelming f@ck you attitude won me over.

Saw them again a year or so later & it was much the same...then they discovered arenas & I didn't see them after that.

Blur definitely had their moments...good & bad. Song2, Beetlebum & The Universal (british gas advert aside) are all belters but Oasis swing it in my view. Hated the Blur tracksuit Parklife vibe, infact that song gets right on my tits but the use of "gut lord" recovers it slightly.

Stone Roses eat them all for breakfast, but Oasis? One great album, one ok one. Everything after WTSMG was toilet. Blur on the other hand wrote album after album that have stood the test of time.

Noel Gallagher can barely play the guitar & in any event, after the 2nd album, Oasis were Noel, the gobste & a bunch of session guys from failed indie bands.

Blur were a pop band more than anything else imho. There the odd decent tune but much of it is forgettable.

Oasis ? First album was the best. The rest is a mix of good, tat and rubbish.

Neither impressed me live much, both have produced some excellent albums, blur have more creativity

Oasis did have a few iconic tracks, but this is pretty much spot on.

Blur were light years ahead in creativity, Oasis just churned out album after album of Beatles-alike tracks. If you love Oasis, you pretty much like everything they did, which might well not be true of Blur (Compare Song2 with No More Distance Left To Run, for example - Oasis can't offer anything like that range of material).

But as someone said earlier, the real answer is Pulp
