Anyone got any ideas, I've dug my old Hi-Fi out of storage after a bout of house renovation. It's was all fairly top end gear in its' day, the day being about 20 years ago....

I need someone to repair the CD player, it's an old Marantz, but one of their expensive models, which is still quite sought after by the Hi Fi Anoraks. There are specialists & modifiers around, but it weighs a ton & is large, so ideally I would like to find an old school audio engineer, that knows his stuff, can do board level repairs & I can drop it off.

Always worth an ask on here !

Where abouts are you?

Plenty of DIY'ers on the HiFi forums. Maybe worth a post there. Wigwam is a good place to start.

Hi,

Thanks Rick ... I'm in Beds, hence I posted this in the local section.

I am not really looking for a DIY'er, happy to pay, but just want a decent local & recommended place.

Cheers

You could call Sevenoaks Bishop's Stortford (formerly Audiofile) and ask for the details of the guy who does their repairs - I think he's called JB, but they will be happy to give you his number. 01279 506576.
