It's a bit of an odd one! http://www.s1homes.com/Houses-for-sale/20110914232... I'm thinking it's a famous person.....

Someone who had a pretty wild time in the 60's but probably doesn't
remember it. Reckon it'd take a couple of quid to remove the "bad acid
trip" theme.

The owner is a chap called Michael Bennett-Levy, an authority on early televisions and technology and is selling up to retire to France (according to the East Lothian Courier!).

Could be lovely once the walls have been toned down! Bet that metal work on the stairs cost a fortune - very "bespoke".

Isn't that Paul's house smile with his taste in shirts the decor seems pretty tame smile

I met Mr Bennett-Levy and had a nose around that house when my company were asked to move some TV's down to Bonhams for Auction a couple of years ago. Turned out to be the worlds largest private TV collection and they filled two Articulated Removal Trucks! Most of them had to come down from that huge empty loft.

The house belongs to JK Rowling.

There is an article about it being up for sale in The Scotsman or something like that with the same pictures.

I read it the other day.

Read the thread and then read the piece in the paper again.

These are different houses miles apart.

Whoever owns it, unless it's their own ideas on the inside walls, some interior 'designer' scored big after seeing them coming a mile off!

Just the sort of place I could do with, need to get rid of the decor in the lounge and some of the bedrooms though. There's a nice big workbench in the kitchen, another in the dining room, lots of space in the garden for the odd static aircraft display. Nice sized oven for bake 'ovening' rocker covers and other components. Plenty of shelf space in the drawing room/library for TVR Sprint mags and automotive monthly bibles........and the odd publication depicting naughty slappers in the bare scuddy. A nice dungeonesque room that can be converted in a bar. Yep, i think I'll put in a bid..................Now then, where's my piggy bank. Whooooooaaaaaaa, hold the bus. Does this gaffe boast a massive garage??

Cheers All,

Ron McC
