yikes

Wow! That is a bargain.

If that is a straight, original panels car then I'm amazed it's still for sale.

it would appear it isn't on the price front, it's been up for sale for over 6 months at £49,995 so it's really only a couple of "haggles" cheaper.

Yep I seen the private ad a few weeks ago.

They're not dropping that quick though. Seasonal lack of interest maybe, or something else?

I must admit that I thought that this was a pretty honest sounding advert when it was on PH, the only thing I might be concerned about was the miles, but at £46K I think it has to be a bargain for someone!

This was the full advert...

Hehehehe, you "screenshotted" the ad as well eh David ? I kept seeing the car appear and disappear in the classifieds and thought that maybe I should get myself back into one to see whether the car I owned late last year was a rogue one or not.
This one would be a cheap way into an RS, and kept long enough, you'd not lose your shirt on it. Highly tempting for someone.

I had quite a few email conversations with the previous owner but never went to see it in the end as couldn't get a inspection sorted in the area. I can PM over what I have if anyone is interested. Looks awesome at that price!!

Hi Guys

I'd also be interested if anyone has any info. I spoke to the owner, but a holiday intervened and I didn't have time to see it before it went.

Odd its at a dealer rather cheaper than it was for sale privately

I have the last owners email if anyon needs it. He told me it was sold so im suprised to see that it was sold to a dealer presumably for a fair bit less than the current asking. Just shows that there are deals there to be had out there. A lot of really good cars right now are actually hard to sell and people often need out and can't sit around waiting. I thought this car was good at 49k personally given it passes the obligatory original panels exam.

It was up yesterday as that's when I noticed it (autotrader).

Spoke to the vendor & it all sounds above board to me, plus the story he tells re the previous owner tallies in with other people who enquired when it was up for sale privately.

Deposit taken today.

Probably gone to a dealer to sell on whilst increasing the price to circa £58,000 in order to maintain prices.

Not according to the vendor.
