fantastic piece of video....and you could argue (if you felt like it) that it was tipped away from the lambos...cos otherwise it would have been murci, Gallardo, MSX (not NSX-R), MS (not CSL) and 360 (not CS)! so yay for lamborghini. The Gallardo GT is going to be terrifyingly fast methinks!
Excellent stuff and indicative of the fact that in this day and age there are just so many vehicular options for hugely competent, real world performance driving.
Without wishing to incur the wrath of a bowl of rice being chucked over one's bonce, you could have quite conceivably put even more modestly priced machinery out there and I'll wager it would have put up a good show, particularly on the twisties, such as a Spec C Imprezza.
Then again, as I discovered recently, when I was humbled by the latest motoring volcano from Sant Agata, you simply have to doff your cap to the Murcielago: the sheer rapture of ownership/sense of occasion by merely being in it, combined with hugely competent cornering dynamics but the simply lethal, mammoth 'out the corner' surge capability, make this a genuine candidate for my new fantasy car.
The question is, could it eclipse the sheer seismological drama of a Diablo, particularly the last in line 6.0 litre GT?
Nightmare, over to you...I really need a picture (or twelve!) of your beastie.

DeR, having sampled both - maybe like YGS - the most competent by a country kilometre is the Murci, the most flawed is the Diablo but it holds the all-comers automotive sensory overload award. A 6.0 (giallo, carbon wing ) is on my Christmas list for 200X. MOD500's banana could be outfruited soon Night has kept his Diablo SEJ I think, under no small element of psychological pressure from the Murci. Right Night?

Great video.
Nice to see fair and clean but committed driving.
The lambo's have really raised the stakes through extra horsepower !
It'll be really interesting to see how the Ferrari 430 will compare on lap times. Power pretty much near 500 hp and it 'll be lighter that the lambo's too.
Must say that the NSX-R is darn impressive. its an old and well sorted design. It was clearly much faster through the corners than any of them.

Wasn't the superb cornering ability and user-friendly handling of the NSX courtesy of Ayrton Senna?
think he had some input , in the Mclaren -Honda era.
toppstuff said:Yes, many references - including as a random illustration "Honda NSX. Combining phenomenal (Artyon Senna-developed) handling, an all-aluminium body, a screaming DOHC 24-valve V6 engine, and Accord-like ease of use and reliability, it was the most advanced sports car of its time."

They'd be crazy to change the fundamental handling characteristics of this car. In the video, only overheating on the last lap stopped the NSX R from challenging right down to the wire. Always been a poor seller though, due to the badge so they say.
