That's twice I've agreed a purchase of a carbon bike on classifieds and been let down. Once on PH and now on Bike radar!

I've given up on classifieds I think Swerni. Wanted a Colnago with Dura Ace or Campagnolo Record, something to 'please the eye'

Ride one first, a mate has the 2011 model which I borrowed to ride to the South Coast when my road bike was poorly! Looked nice enough but not particularly stiff, I could feel the frame flexing when I was climbing Bury Hill, and overall the ride was a bit dead (plus I could push my thumb into the top tube). It was quick enough, but I wonder if you would get better value from Planet-X or Canyon.......

I've been to that shop. Absolutely amazing place. Your credit card could easily take a hit for 10k in there with all the "essential" extras!

Oooh I bought my Look from there. Fantastic experience - they really took the time to get me set up properly on the bike, laser fitting and everything, despite me clearly being a total noob. They sold me stuff that was appropriate for the riding I was looking to do (i.e. SPDs rather than SPD SLs/Keos) and even let me have a free lock for the train journey home. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Thanks fellas, looks like I'll be making a trip to Shropshire in the near future then
Have emailed those chaps for a quote on the frame, seat and handle bar bits plus the Cosmic wheelset as I want to add my own choice of groupset (Campagnolo record)

Seriously, ride one first before you part with any cash. I have no idea of your stature but I am 73kgs and found the frame quite flexy (but did love the look of it).

Looking at the reputation of the bike shop I doubt that they would let you leave with it unless it was the right bike for you though.

Thanks for the comment MadDad. I'm plannning to make a trip there before purchase to discuss with the shop, trial ride etc. Just wanted and idea of costs of frame + various bits rather than a complete bike.
