right got a date with someone who's just moved to cov uni and we are off out tomorrow night, but she doesn't have a clue where to go as she has just moved there and neither do I as I don't live there! anyone any ideas on where to in or around cov? either for a quiet drink or something a bit more fun? I wont really be drinking much as I'm driving and I'm not really interested in the cinema.

any ideas would be gratefully received!

Not sure if it's open in the evening/night??

There's a Nando's 2 min walk from the museum, and a few other restaurants in the area as well, to be honest i don't think there is much to do around Cov Uni (went there for 4 years) unless you want to go on a proper night out, most times just sat in my mates flat with a sheesha pipe,ah the days of uni biggrin

Also got the restaurants by the cinema, and well could even spend your day walking around Ikea 500 Days of Summer style if you really wanted to? Just isn't much to do there..

Inspire is quite a cool bar to go to or Browns (went to both on first date with my girlfriend).

Out of town a bit there's the Pheasant in Withybrook or the Old Mill in Bagington, both nice pubs/restaurants.

well I know plenty of things to do up Tamworth way if I can get off work early but if you rule out heavy drinking and cinema there doesn't seem to be much to do later on these days!

There used to be a few popular nightclubs in Coventry ,few years ago, when I was Taxi driving in a town near. One place up Stoney Stanton road area, and a few places near the ring road. If oy fancy decent pub restaurant food, there's a place with a decent reputation in Wolvey and a bit further out in Ansley CV10 9PQ -there's the Lord Nelson pub ,with a decent restaurant. In the Nelson, pick the right night and there's a special on different dishes at reasonable prices.

Kasbah/Colosseum isnt a bad shout mid week for student nights, jagerbombs are a quid a pop.

Really can't argue with that!
