I notice a mention of the 'Canon Outlet' on an earlier thread. I've found this on ebay now and have seen what looks on the face of it a good buy, in the shape of a refurbed EOS 550D.
What's the background to this place, on the face of it it looks like an official Canon facility, but I have my doubts that it actually is.
The address seems to be in Luxembourg for a start.
Anybody used Canon Outlet care to comment on their reliability etc.
Cheers

I bought a refurbed 400D when they were the 'latest' available model. It came in a Jessops outer box and I've had no issues whatsoever with it. I've also bought a Pixma printer from them, again no issues. Very fast delivery, not much else to say really. On the basis of my experience (which isn't that much), I'd be more than happy to use them again and have recommended them to other people as well.As mentioned in other posts on here I have bought quite a lot of kit from them over the years. No problems. Tatty or dirty packaging seems to be the worst thing I could comment on. I'll accept that for the price and inclusive warranty.
One Ixus, used by my daughter, had a lens problem after about 3 months. Fixed under warrenty by an authorised service agent at no cost (other than getting it to them) and in less than 4 days.
The Outlet used to put things through on auctions so there were some extremely good bargains but at other times people would bid silly money and, I suspect, not pay.
The Buy it Now shop concept has, mostly, sensible prices. A few are quite low from time to time. Some are high and tend not to be taken up.
Delivery is usually good and can be very fast indeed.
